Dear Vintage Mooney Flyers,
This will be our second fly-in to Friday Harbor.
Friday Harbor is situated in the San Juan Islands of Puget Sound in Washington.
Since it will be a longer flight for many of us from the southwest, Jeff Mirsepasy, our host, has planned activities from Friday afternoon to Sunday.
The VMG gives us all the excuse to fly places we might not otherwise have
thought of. Friday Harbor is one of those and you will not be
disappointed. The flying in August in the northwest is typically beautiful
VFR. Make your co-pilot happy by bringing them to see the greatest people
they'll ever meet in one of the greatest places in the northwest.
Schedule of Events
FRIDAY: Early arrivals, explore Friday
Harbor.
7:30pm: Dinner at Coho's.
All attendees to the fly-in are welcome! The menu is as follows: Appetizers are Seasonal Crostini, Salmon Mouse Canapes
and Scallop cakes. The Entrees are choice of 1) Flat Iron Steak: Grilled
Painted Hill Beef with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Italian Salsa Verde and
Seasonal Vegetables, 2) Alaskan King Salmon: Black and White Sesame Encrusted
Salmon with Seared Rice Cake with Ginger Mirin Sauce and Seasonal Vegetables, or
3) Housemade Ricotta Gnocchis Tossed in Summer Vegetable Sauce (vegetarian
option). Dessert is Chocolate Pot Au Creme. How wonderful is that?
